Release for Severely Matted Pets 

Every effort is made to protect your pet’s skin and coat while removing the hair on a matted pet. The safety and comfort of your pet is our top priority. A pet’s coat that has not been attended to for a long period of time may cause the skin to become extremely sensitive and incur clipper marks, abrasions, rashes, nicks, itchiness, or redness. Shaving extremely matted ears might also encourage head shaking causing hematomas. You as the owner, agree to in no way hold Wow Grooming Corp. responsible for any problems resulting from the grooming of your matted pet. Additional charges on top of regular grooming fees apply to dogs that are extremely matted. 

Behavioral Issues 

Wow Grooming Corp. reserves the right to refuse service on some pets, if we feel they will be best served in a veterinary facility. If we accept to groom any animals with behavioral issues, charges will be set in accordance with their behavior. In the grooming process, every effort is made to make your pet as comfortable as possible. We do not muzzle or restrain your pet unless completely necessary. We do not groom dogs that bite. If the dog is behaving badly, the groom will not continue. 

Fleas/Ticks 

If your pet has an infestation of fleas and / or ticks, you will be charged an additional fee for parasite control. We thoroughly disinfect our van between clients to ensure contamination does not occur. Flea and tick control is an essential part of pet ownership. They can get them by just walking out your front door. When we arrive for your grooming appointment, sometimes it is difficult to tell if there are fleas present until we get the animal wet. 

Dogs and Cats that come to Wow Grooming Mobile, with fleas, are immediately given a flea bath at an additional fee of $15.00. Also for $7 your pet will be given a Capstar – this will begin killing the fleas within 20 minutes to prevent our other grooming clients from getting fleas. We use the Capstar along with a flea bath because fleas typically hide in the ears, nose and anus during the bathing process. Although these fees may seem unusual, they are in place to prevent a flea infestation in our spa, and to cover the cost of the extra time it takes to sanitize our grooming areas when fleas are present and the extra time it takes to treat the fleas on your pet.

We sell topical flea medications for you to apply to your pet after their grooming session. Wow Grooming cannot be responsible for flea prevention or treating the environment your pet lives in.  Please ask our groomers about other products to protect your pet and home from fleas.

Payment of Services/Bounced Check Fee 

Payment is due on day service is performed. At this time acceptable types of payment are cash and credit cards. Any special requests must be made in advance. If a check gets returned because Account Closed or Non-Sufficient Funds, we do charge an additional $35.00 fee.  All future payments accepted will be cash or credit card only. 

Appointments/No access fee 

There will be a mandatory $28 charge, if we arrive to pre-determined location on specified date, and pet is not available to groom. We schedule our pet styling by appointment only. If we reserve a time slot for your pet, and your pet will not be available at the designated time, we ask that you please cancel 24 hours in advance. We also ask that you book your next appointment for your pet on the day we groom your pet. Even if you are a regular client, without reserving a spot, we cannot guarantee an appointment for your next visit.  Appointments have (one) 1-hour span for arrival, not an exact time.

Complaint Procedures/Unresolved Issues 

If you are not 100% completely satisfied with my grooming service, please contact us within 24 hours of the groom, and we will do our best to resolve your issue.

Emergency Medical Treatment Authorization 

Working with animals is never predictable, and if a situation should arise where we feel veterinary attention is needed, we hereby authorize medical treatment for my pet. 

All pets are groomed following American Kennel Club safety standards.

You can help your pet have a more enjoyable grooming experience by working with your pet at home between scheduled groomings.

By using our services, you hereby release any photos we may take of your pet for advertisement on our website or in brochures.

By signing our grooming form, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and will comply with the aforementioned policies of Wow Grooming.
