If you live North Miami and Broward County the Dog Beach of Hollywood is a fun place to be, won't matter if you have a pet or not. The initiative start only a few years ago and is getting really good feedback specially from Hollywood residents that now have a nice place to come with their pets and family. Adults, kids & pets can run, play and swim in a beautiful venue.

One of the few dog beach in South Florida brings to dogs the benefit of salt water, good for dogs as it is for human's hair and skin because it is packed with healthy minerals like magnesium, calcium, and potassium, which is exactly what makes it so beneficial. It absorbs the toxins in the body and on the skin, and works to treat infections and encourage the healing process. Salt is naturally antibacterial, and salty air is simply wonderful for our lungs. Visiting a Dog-friendly beach is ideal before you plan to groom your pet. If you are not using a professional grooming service at least rinse the dog with fresh water after visiting the beach.

Coming to the beach with our pets requires a little bit of extra responsibility and attention -same as with our kids. Fresh drinking water and a container is essential to keep hydrating our canine, there are a few portable containers on the market that are pretty good for this type of practice. See picture 2 & 3.
